About Us
In 2008, Ted Hanlon signed a $2,000,000 gift agreement with Edwards School of Business to increase international student enrollment and provide students with international opportunities. From this, The Hanlon Centre for International Business Studies was created and bears his name in recognition of the gift.
The Hanlon Centre prepares our students for an increasingly globalized business world. The centre consists of academics, business liaisons, and students mandated:
- to increase the intensity of faculty research dedicated to Saskatchewan and Western Canada's international business;
- to increase the number of international perspectives in undergraduate curriculum;
- to increase undergraduate participation in international educational exchanges; and
- to increase the number of international students at the Edwards School of Business.
Study Abroad
The Hanlon Centre assists Edwards students in identifying and participating in international opportunities to support Edwards students interested in studying abroad.
Several bursaries and subsidies are available for eligible students through the Hanlon Centre. If you're a current student, please visit the Edwards Student Channel on PAWS for more information.
International Business Minor
The International Business minor (IBM) provides Edwards students with the skills to be able to offer superior value to companies and to have greater readiness to launch a business. The minor also allows for a deeper immersion into international business environments, policy and development.
Students interested in pursuing the International Business minor should meet with an advisor in the Edwards School of Business to discuss program requirements and funding opportunities for study abroad. Please visit the Edwards Student Channel on PAWS for more information.
