Students from the University of Saskatchewan launched Food for the Future, an Indigenous community garden and youth education program that allows community members to grow healthy fruits and vegetables.

The Enactus University of Saskatchewan team has been awarded the 2017 HSBC Indigenous Advancement Project Partnership Best Project award by this country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and proud supporter HSBC. The award presentation took place today at the 2017 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Vancouver.

In 2016 the team travelled to Beauval Saskatchewan to build a community garden. This year, the Beauval Community Garden has expanded by adding five more raised garden beds and two high tunnel greenhouses, saving the community the need to order produce externally for three months.
