Edwards signs a memorandum of understanding with five Saskatchewan regional colleges
The Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan signed an agreement last month that allows off-campus business students to take their entire first year at one of five Saskatchewan regional colleges.
The memorandum includes Cumberland College, Great Plains College, North West College, Northlands College, and Parkland College.
Starting in fall 2019, students can be admitted directly into the U of S's four-year Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) program at Edwards and have access to 30 credit units of courses.
“We are committed to developing business professionals to build nations through community engagement and providing an outstanding student experience,” said Noreen Mahoney, Associate Dean of the Edwards School of Business.
The four-year B.Comm. degree helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills demanded by employers.
The agreement also means students at an off-campus site will have access to scholarships available to Edwards students in addition to those offered at a regional college.
“Edwards is proud to partner with these regional colleges and expands our undergraduate offerings in Saskatchewan,” said Dean of Edwards, Keith Willoughby. “This new partnership confirms our commitment to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education.”
