The Edwards School of Business recognized 497 undergraduate students for their academic, leadership, and volunteer achievements at an annual awards luncheon earlier this month. Students and donors, along with Edwards faculty and staff, gathered for the luncheon on November 25 at Marquis Culinary Centre.

Students who received the University of Saskatchewan Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships, the University of Saskatchewan Transfer Scholarships, as well as awards administered by third-party organizations, were honoured at the event.

In total, 122 awards were distributed with a combined value of $1,434,186. These scholarships were made possible through the generosity of alumni, the Edwards Dean’s Circle, local businesses, community organizations, friends of the school, and Edwards faculty and staff.

The agenda for the luncheon included remarks from donor representative Dr. W. John Brennan, student representative Seth LeMoal and Dean Dr. Keith Willoughby.

Dr. W. John Brennan served as a member of faculty, department head, and Dean of the College of Commerce over his 30‐year term. His message focused on the importance of uplifting communities by supporting students through higher education.

Second-year student and scholarship recipient Seth LeMoal spoke passionately about how donors impact Edwards student education, and without donor support students wouldn't be able to achieve all they do.

"Congratulations to the scholarship and award recipients recognized this year who are truly becoming business professionals to build nations," said Dean Keith Willoughby. "Thank you to our donors for providing these generous awards to Edwards School of Business students."
