
Meet the Edwards MBA Class of 2024
These students come from diverse educational and professional backgrounds with degrees spanning engineering, science, arts, business, and health sciences. Many of these individuals have pursued advanced certifications and graduate studies, showcasing their commitment to continuous learning. Their professional expertise spans industries such as healthcare, education, finance, engineering, and public administration. Many of these students have international work or study experience which enriches the classroom, fostering a collaborative and culturally diverse learning environment.
This year’s cohort is more than just accomplished professionals – they are passionate individuals with hobbies and interests that reflect their personalities. The spirit of adventure runs strong among our students. Many have travelled extensively, exploring countries across the globe. These experiences not only broaden their own horizons but also bring unique insights to the classroom.
These students are also athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. From soccer fields to hockey rinks, or running on tracks or mountains, our students lead active lifestyles. Many enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and paddleboarding, embracing the outdoors as a source of rejuvenation from their busy lives.
These students not only have a passion for learning, but a passion for creativity. Some find joy in music, playing instruments or composing songs, while others express themselves through drawing, painting, or crafting. These pursuits often serve as a counterbalance to their academic or professional commitments. For many, the kitchen is a playground for creativity. Students share a love for cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and exploring diverse cuisines.
Our students’ career aspirations are as varied as their backgrounds. Many aim to lead organizations as hospital administrators, corporate lawyers, or business operations managers. Several students dream of starting their own ventures, from law firms to innovative start-ups whereas others are focused on scaling and expanding existing small businesses. The cohort includes aspiring clinical pharmacists, veterinary professionals, and strategic business developers who seek to bring expertise and innovation to their fields. Some students are drawn to academia, envisioning futures in post-secondary education management or cutting-edge scientific research. Lastly, several students aim to contribute to societal well-being through roles in public policy, community relations, and public welfare initiatives.
The academic backgrounds of our students span a wide array of disciplines. In the field of Business and Commerce, they hold degrees in Business Administration, Business Economics, and Commerce. The Science and Engineering disciplines are well-represented, with specializations in areas such as Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, Physiology, Computer Science, and various Engineering specialties.
From the Arts and Humanities fields, students contribute expertise in Psychology, Sociology, International Relations, Law, and History. Those from Health Sciences bring knowledge in Kinesiology, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and Medicine. Additionally, students with degrees in Public Administration and Education bring knowledge from public service, education, and policy studies. Our group also benefits from students with technical skills honed in Technology and Architecture. This breadth and depth of expertise creates a vibrant, interdisciplinary learning environment that enhances the educational experience for all.
Outside of their academic, professional, and personal pursuits, these students are dedicated to giving back. Many actively volunteer in their communities, serving as mentors, board members, and participants in community service projects.
