High School Students
Attention grade 12 students! Take an online business course and receive dual credit for Introduction to Business 30L and COMM 101.3: Introduction to Business.

The application process consists of the following:
- Create an account in apply.usask.ca, submit a Visiting student application.
- Fill out the PDF Early Start Program Form, collect required authorization from a parent and a school official then email to admissions@usask.ca.
- Please use the subject line: Early Admission Application and include your name
Awards
Edwards Dean’s Circle COMM 101 Entering Award (15 x $1,000)
Awarded to high school students who have successfully completed COMM 101: Introduction to Business online and are admitted to the Edwards School of Business immediately following completion of Grade 12.
Applicants must submit a statement of 500 words or less that outlines how COMM 101 made an impact on their decision to apply to Edwards. Include relevant business, work, leadership or management experience or community engagement that will enhance your transition to university. Selection will be based on academic achievement in COMM 101 and the merits of the submitted statement.

What is the cost?
Current tuition and student fees for one COMM class can be found on the Tution and Fees page. Note that there may also be a textbook fee for the class as well.

Is there an average requirement?
No, a student simply needs to be in Grade 12. Students interested in applying to a particular program should review average requirements and deadlines.

What are the dates for the class?
The class follows the university schedule. Term 1 runs September - December and Term 2 runs January - April.

Can a school/division cover tuition?
Yes. If your school is interested in covering tuition they should contact our office for more information.

Should I work the class into my school day?
It is a good idea to take a spare in your high school schedule, as you will need time to go through the modules and work on assignments.

Can I use the class for programs other than business?
This class is a required course in the Bachelor of Commerce program, but may also be used in a number of degrees offered through Arts & Science, Agriculture, and Engineering. If you are thinking of applying to a college other than Edwards, it is always a good idea to check in with them to see if and how the class can be used in their program.
