Edwards School of Business has partnered with PowHERhouse Media, a national women’s media organization, to deliver a timely executive learning program for female leaders called SPEAK! Canada.
Over the last 15 years, the Edwards Executive Education unit has empowered many women to reach their full potential through a variety of women’s initiatives.
Programming such as the Betty-Ann Heggie Womentorship program, a screening of the Lunafest International Film Festival, the Empowering Women Leaders program, and the Women of Influence Breakfast Presentation has led the way in developing and inspiring women to reach their leadership capacity.
“Saskatchewan has a strong women’s network, and we want to continue to build leadership capacity in our province,” said Christina Dolan, Manager, Edwards Executive Education. “The SPEAK! Canada program is our first blended option including both face-to-face instruction and online learning, and we are confident it will help many women find their voice.”
“SPEAK! Canada is a national program designed to provide professional women with a proven process and platform, encouraging them to speak clearly, confidently and concisely to move forward as leaders with impact,” said Charlene SanJenko, Founder, and CEO of PowHERhouse Media Group and SPEAK Program Facilitator. “Women have something to say, and they crave being heard. We are here to help them find clarity with their message, deliver it powerfully and prepare for their next opportunity.”
The 3-part blended learning program increases a professional woman’s ability to communicate effectively to any audience – her next sales presentation, a critical client conversation or in front of 100+ peers. It includes stage experience where participants deliver five-minute presentations to a live audience and receive a professionally filmed and edited video that can be used immediately to move forward with professional goals, executive branding, business development or future speaking opportunities.
“Edwards is proud to partner with SPEAK! Canada and expand our women’s initiatives offerings in Saskatchewan,” said Dean of Edwards, Keith Willoughby. “This new partnership confirms the high quality, relevance, and impact of the Edwards Executive Education training options.”
The Spring 2018 Cohort of SPEAK! Canada begins March 23 with a 1-day in-person intensive, followed by five modules delivered online over the following seven weeks. Students will work towards a presentation celebration event on May 23, 2018, where they will deliver their 5-minute presentation.
