Program Overview

This one-day program benefits leaders and other individuals who want to enhance their interpersonal communication capabilities. It begins by equipping participants with key competencies to address common workplace issues. It emphasizes the practice of effective dialogue, active listening, practical communication methods, conflict-resolution strategies, and trust-building techniques. These foundational skills pave the way for successfully handling common communication and team member performance challengesWe will also develop strategies to maneuver particularly difficult communication scenarios and conflicts.

    • Apply practical methods for navigating particularly challenging conversations and conflicts. 
    • Describe how open and constructive communication contributes to daily and long-term individual and team success.

In-person delivery includes instructor facilitation, small group exercises, large group discussions, interactive learning, networking and ample breaks and opportunities for questions and discussions. Participants will be required to bring a laptop/digital device to access all learning materials during the program. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided.

Chris Antonopoulos, B.Comm.

Chris is a human resources professional with 17 years of experience across a number of strategic Human Resources and Organizational Development roles in both the Co-operative and Post-Secondary sectors. Currently a member of the Human Resources-Organizational Development team at the University of Saskatchewan, Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Edwards School of Business.

Chris’s career has primarily focused on the areas of Employee Learning, Organizational Development, Leadership Development and Talent Management design and delivery. Chris has extensive experience in adult learning and learning facilitation has also had extensive experience in helping to support organizational-change initiatives and in supporting strategic business planning processes. Chris is also certified in both the Everything DiSC® Workplace and the LPI 360 ® assessment tools.

Chris is very passionate about supporting new and aspiring leaders to further their development goals and aspirations while helping them to build and sustain effective teams and promoting healthy work cultures.
